Abstract :

Bentonite generally composed from smectite group minerals. Huge resources of this mineral generate in southern khorasn province. These deposits created from volcanic ashes sedimentation in shallow lake and inside of pyroclastic rocks such as Tuff, breccia and ignemeberite. According to many exploration and exploitation activities, we can account this mineral as investment preference in mining operations of province. However, there is not any sufficient exploration study, suitable method exploitation and related industries so there is not observable improvement in this section. Chah Jires bentonite deposit has been studied In this article. In this deposit, bentonite composed of montmorillonite, cristobalite, quarts, albite and calcite as main and minor minerals. According to industry tests the suitable applications and methods for optimum exploitation explained.
