Abstract :
Anticline of the north of Birjand is a flanking fold wich placed in Neogene and Quaternary deposits. A thrust fault with N270-280 trending has been seen in southern limb that is the main factor of this Anticline create. Birjand anticline has been torn by 12 tear faults and divided in to the pieces with variant displacement. the variance of shortening in length of this fold and thrust belt has caused the creating of the tear faults with an almost N-S trending by using of fractal analysis and experimental modeling .
