Abstract :
Cheshme area granitoid bodies, are located in East of Iran ( southeast of Birjand )which outcropped in ophiolite mélange belt at northern part of Sistan suture zone. These bodies are accommodated with lithospheric units so they have named as plagiogranite in Gazic quadrangle map. Chemical analysis and petrographic studies show these rocks are metatrondhjemite. Their magmatic series is calc-alkaline that opposite with tholeiitic nature of oceanic plagiogranites. Comparison of average content of some major elements, trace elements and REE spider diagrams in Cheshme area granitoids with plagiogranites show that studied rocks have different characteristics .Field, petrography and geochemical evidences show that Cheshme area granitoids comparable with I-type granitoids and VAG tectonic setting.
