Abstract :
This research is performed using GIS technique and MPSIAC model in Sarghayeh-Sarnish watershed in south of Mashhad in order to estimate soil erosion and sedimext yield. This moxel evaluates erosion and sediment yield in each of subbasins based on nine environmental factors including geology, soil, climate, run off, topography, ground cover, land use, surface and river erosion. Fox this purpose, the information layers dependent on model are made by GIS and finally the mean of sediment yield is estimated 4.9 ton/hec, intensity of erosion is also determined in moderate and strong class using of spatial assessments and information layers overlapping. In this study, the most of basin (90.506%) with strong erosion and others is moderate.
