Abstract :

Kalat new tunnel is located at the entrance of city of Kalat from city of Mashhad passing through the mountain range with the same name(Kalat).In this study , the impact of the new tunnel construction on the existing tunnel has been assesed using geotechnical parameters of the surrounding rocks with Plaxis 7.2 models. Calculation have been done for these phases before excavation ,immediately after excavation , and after installation of the supporting system in which all stress , strains and possible dislocation around the tunnel have been measured in each one of those phases.
