Abstract :
Calcareous deposits in South East of Birjand are dominated by macrofossils and foraminifera. In this study, in which multiple outcrop, 10 genera and 14 species of echinoderms were identified from this region. The index number of these species, were studied. According to the macro and microfauna, the age of these sediments are Middle Eocene (Lower Lutitian-Lower periabonian) and based on the identified genera can be concluded that these sediments in a shallow and warm invironment in a platform were deposited.
