Abstract :

In this research Abderaz Formation at its type section with an age of Turonian-Early Campanian and a Thickness of 300 m contains light grey shale and marls. According to study of foraminifera and oligosteginids of this section, age of this succession is Middle Turonian-Early Campanian have been studied. Study of the planktonic foraminifera determine index extinct group of Marginotruncanid Santonian-Campanian boundary in Abderaz Formation at type section. Planktonic foraminifera of Abderaz Formation in compare to the Cretaceous biogeographically provinces are very close to the Tethyan provinces.
