This Mountain is located in the Alborz Mountain belt. Since the main faults of this region become younger toward the South , therefore calculated morphometry indices can highlight the new activities . Morphotectonic investigations wich include? morphology of the earth surface represent important? information about new tectonic movements.To distinguish effect resulting from tectonic activities and those of erosion is too difficult.Therefore by using one index to recognize activities is not reliable. ???? So in this research only five indices such as: Smf,Facet%,Af,T and Vf are calculated. Based on these indices it has been confirmed that the tectonic activity in this region is not uniform, and coudn‘t define a simple pattern in this portion of Binalood Mountain. ????? According to the zonal classification: zon1 is more active than other zones, and mountain front shows more activity and uplift rather than mountainous portion.
