Abstract :

12 ammonite zone of Jajarm area, Gol-Binii section in Dalichai Formation of Middle Jurassic (Bathonian-callovian stages) have been identified. The index fossil of to Bathonian -Callovian Boundary has been identified in previously researches works. The total number of 155 oriented drilled core covering 84 m of 106 m exposed section mainly consisting of limestone and marly limestone were taken for paleomagnetic analyses. After preparing samples, the Paleomagnetic analyses including measurement of NRM, susceptibility, Susceptibility versus Temperature, AF and Thermal demagnetizing carried out at Environmental and Paleomagnetic Laboratory based at Geological survey of Iran, Tehran. The Declination, inclination, reversal /normal polarities, sedimentation rate and VGP have been identified for this section. The obtained Paleomagnetic results, VGP Latitude and polarity events have been compared with Magnetic Polarity Time Scale (MPTS). The obtained polarity results also compared with Bathonian - Callovian boundary result of Russia and Germany, which show the same pattern.
