Preparation and software processing on exploration method of Arghash gold deposit for modeling

Abstract :

The first step in reserve estimation of a deposit is assessment of its spatial geometric distribution and three_dimensional modeling. So plus the determination of volume and the limits of its content, an appropriate illustration for the future decision taking can be prepared. For this purpose it is necessary to use the superficial and underground information, compile them with the topographic maps and geophysics data and finally apply the geological and mining experiences. The combination, compilation and comparison of different information need a suitable graphic environment which can use the information in the most optimum way. The three-dimensional illustration of the information helps the project directors in decision making of the exploitation system design. Such an environment has been created in the Gemcom software and has been used in the three-dimensional modeling of Cheshmehzard gold deposit. In the Arghash area gold bearing veins with different dips 55_85 have been developed, Exploration drillings include 39 trenches and 14 boreholes.
Using the result of chemical analysis and geological units, the surface with subsurface information were combined and then by superposition and combination of the bi _dimensional and three-dimensional sections correlation was performed. At last with correlation of the bi_ dimensional sections, a three-dimensional solid was created that in addition to the calculation of the rock volume, decision making concerning the exploitation designation can be performed in a wider horizon.
