Abstract :
Sedimentological characteristics, such as textur and sedimentary link, of sediments in the Bar River have investigated. The Bar drainage basin located NW of Neyshabour and consists of two major rivers (Bar and Taghan). The Bar River is gravely and a kind of consequence river. The average grain size decreases toward downstream, but due to geological characteristic of the area, as well as tributaries, the sedimentary link changed. Furthermore, the sorting is poor to very poor, but increases toward downstream, except the area where tributaries inter the major river. Skewnes is positive, because of finer garin that have been trapped between and under coarser grain sediments. We hope that this information can be used in better watershed management.
