Abstract :

Bormahan catchment with many landslides is located in Binalood mountainous terrain. In this study we provided Digital Elevation Model (DEM) by entry of geographic positions from landslide boundary using GPS. Then, intact samples were tested and their direct shear parameters (c and φ) and dry, wet and saturated density is determined. Finally with modeling of two landslides in the study area safety factor was determined according to Bishop, Janbo, Felleniuse, Spencer and Morgenstern-Price methods with using GeoSlop software. The Safety Factors show that the landslides are active.
