Abstract :

Osghool, Zadanbe, Shahrestanak and Nokaj bentonite zones are located in the limit of Birjand geological map(1:100000). Field and laboratory studies represents that studied bentonites related to acid-intermediate volcanic activities. Mineralogical studies(XRD)shows that the main minerals of these bentonites include of montmorillonite, albite and cristobalite. Nokaj bentonites is from Ca-bentonite type but indicating the type of other bentonites need to more experiments.
