Abstract :
Macrofossil assemblages from four parts of Binalud Mountain ( Upper Dizbad, Garined village, Aghong and shah – Molla village – Golmakan ) are studied in this survery. According to stratigraphical distribution of Clathropteris platyphylla and Thaumatopteris sp. The sediments of Dizbad belonged to Rhaetian – Hettangian age. The existence of Pterophyllum sp, Otozamites sp, and Taeniopteris sp. Suggests an Upper Triassic age for the sediments of Garineh village. According to the existence of Podozamites sp. And Cladophlebis sp. The sediments of Aghing belonged to List age. Stratigraphical distribution of Coniopteris hymenophylloides, Czekanowskia rigida, Sphenobaeira longifolia, Sphenobaeira cf. pulchella, Nilssonia cf macrophylla, Nilssonia acuminata, Nilssonia feriziensis and Klukia westi suggests an Upper Toarcian Aalenian age for the sediments of Shah Molla village Golmakan.
