Abstract :
In this study, paleoenvironment of the upper Chamanbid Formation at the type section is studies. This section has 240 m thickness and mostly include marly shale, calcareous shale and limestone.
Palynological slides prepared and different group of palynomorphes include: dinoflagellate cysts, spores, pollen, foraminiferal test lining and wood debris statically studied. This study indicates that the upper part of the Chamanbid Formation accumulated in a lagoon that witnessed intermittent marine incursions.
