Abstract :
The Aghdarband area known as an unique area for studying of evolution of the Eo-Cimmerian orogeny in Iran, in this paper we studied the Paleozoic and Triassic structures individually and make comparison of them and eventually the appropriate structural model for the area have been proposed. Almost all the observes structures have northward vergence. It seems that foliation in Paleozoic and Permo-Triassic sequences formed in the same deformation events (Eo-Cimmerian orogeny).Totally the whole folding structures of this region passed two different deformation phases, the second phases cause increasing of plunge of fold axes. The difference aligning of fold axes the Paleozoic and Triassic sequences can be interpreted as the creation of this folds is two different deformation events, most of the dip slip faults of this area reactivated and show strike slip movement, base on observed evidence the Aghdarband area could interpreted as a Inclined transpression zone. Structural characteristics of Eo-Cimmerian orogeny in Aghdarband can be compared with new collisional events like as Taiwan collisional orogeny.
