Abstract :
The metamorphic complex of Majooni in Binalood is located in eastern Alborz. The volcanic rocks of granitoiid and regional metamorphic rocks outcrop in this part.
Metamorphic rocks which can be observed in this area are: staurolite schist, staurolite garnet schist, garnet schist, chloritoiid schist, mica schist, marble, quartzite and Meta volcanic. 2 deformation phases are recognized with respect to relationship between structures and porphyroblasts with matrix (micro structure), that any phase of deformation accompany with a phase of metamorphism. Also the third metamorphism phase is recognized that this is retrograde. Concurrency with first deformation (Dn) occur the first metamorphism (Mn) in this area. The evidences of first deformation are foliation Sn and also the evidences related to metamorphism of Mn are crystallization of minerals of Chlorite, Muscovite, Quartz, Biotite, chioritoid and Staurolite. The foliation of dominant is S!+1 therefore second deformation (Dn+1) is dominant.
Foliation Sn+1 arise of folding foliation Sn. The Mn+1 metamorphism is prograde and concurrency with deformation Dn+1. Also the Mn+1 metamorphism are cause of crystallization of minerals Staurolite, garnet, Biotite, Muscovite and chloritoiid.
