Abstract :

In order to study paleotology & stratigraphy of sediments of Cretaceous-Cenozoice boundary in Kopeh_dagh area; 3 sction in east (scrakh) & N.E of Darreh gaz. Lotf abad) area have been, chosen.Series of Cenozoic deposits, have been visited, mesured and sampled in the sections completely. The aims of study are: _To introckice sedimentary sequence in the sections _To distinguish Cenozoic lithostratigraphy units from Cretaceous based on the present fauna (Foraminifera &Ostracoda) _Systematic study of more than 25 genera (Foraminifera) & 15 genera; (Ostracoda) and their stratigraphical distribution. _The Ruled status on sedimentary environment of the deposits. _To correlate sedimentary units in the East of Kopeh_Dagh with the other basins in Iran_Mapping of the sections.
