Abstract :
Neogene Deposits in the study area consist of silisiclastic Rocks including conglomerate, sandstone with minor amount of marl and evaporate sediments. The aim of this study is to identify fades variation and interpretation of paleoenviroment, recognize of depositional sequences, and finaly interpretet provenance. Lower part of Neogene Deposit consists of alternative evaporate and marl. The middle part is sandstone include Sm and with lesser amounts of St, Sp, Sh and conglomerate fades include Gem, Gmm and with lesser amount of Gh, Gp and Gt. Upper part is conglomerate include Gem and Gmm. These deposits, based of fades variation, form two sedimentary sequences. DSi With 17.7 meter thickness consists of alternative evaporate and marl and DS2 with 89.2 meter thickness include sandstone and conglomerate that have been deposited during Low accommodation space. Field and laboratory evidence show Neogene Deposits from base to up are deposited in playa, braided river and alluvial fan depositional systems. Based of petrography studies and region tectonic setting, these deposits are originated from arc orogenic and continental block.
