Identifation of Ecinoderms from Tirgan formation

Abstract :
The kopet-Dagh basin related to epicontinental part of Caspian sea. In structural- sedimentary unit of Kopet-Dagh in north-east of margin part, sediments of epicontinental shallow marine of basin Shurijeh formation (Neocomian) deposited. Tirgan formation is composed of thick and medium bedded oolitic biogenic limestone. In last lower Cretaseous (Neocomian), massive limestone with alternation of inter-bedded shale formed in kopet-Dagh basin like other parts of Iran. For determination of Echinoidea, one of the five classes of the phylum Echinodermata, the Shotorpa section near the shotorpa village in north-west of Mashhad has been measured. It is caused to distinguish 4 species of Toxasteried.
