Abstract :
Spectral angle mapper method is one of the well, easiest and cheapest techniques for enhancing of alteration zones (by separation of index minerals of zones) in reconnaissance stage which combining of it with geological map and stream sediments geochemistry data can be recognized suitable place and type of possibility mineralization. Combining of data in northeastern Birjand indicate three types of possible mineralized area that are: 1) development argillic, alunitic, sericitic and silicified alteration zones in dacitic unit (west of area) and their zonal pattern and anomaly of Cu, Pb and Zn show upper level of porphyry copper system, 2) Silicified, sericitic and propylitic alteration zones and their zoning with approximately linear shape in sedimentary rocks (east of area) and high anomaly of Cu, Pb and Zn indicate polymetal vein type mineralization. Enhancing of hematite in center of the region confirms present of oxidized sulfide minerals and 3) present of low sulfidation epithermal type mineralization in fault zone due to silicified-propylitic linear alteration zones in dacitic unit of northwestern area. Hematite occurred in the area due to oxidizing of sulfide minerals. Confirmation of present of these mineralization needs to field study, geological, alteration and mineralization mapping and lithogeochemical sampling.
