Abstract :

The study area (Bisheh) is located in North-East of Lut block, south-east of Qaleh Zari mine and in Basiran geological quadrangle (1:100000) and. In this part, Tertiary acid to intermediate intrusive rocks intruded volcanic rocks of Eocene-Oligocene. Iron skarn has formed within Paleocene limestone. Based on petrography and major oxides diorite, diorite porphyry, monzodiorite, monzodiorite porphyry, granodiorite and granodiorite porphyry are identified. Based on Al-index, granodiorites and diorites are per-aluminous and meta-aluminous respectively. Based on magnetic susceptibility diorites belong to magnetite and granodiorites belong to ilmenite series. Iron skarn is associated within magnetite series. Ilminite series has potential for Sn-W mineralization. Magnetite is major ore mineral which was formed during retrograde. Pyrite and minor chalcopyrite are associated with magnetite.
