Abstract :

Hired gold prospect area is located in Southern Khorasan province and south of Birjand. The area is located in the east-northeast border of Lut zone and in the vicinity of Sistan suture zone. The oldest rock units are Jurassic and Cretaceous sediments which covered by Tertiary volcno-sedimentary sequences. Rock units are affected by intrusion bodies with acidic to basic composition.
The gold mineralization is formed as replacement, disseminated, vein-veinlet, massive and breccia and related to the reduced-intrusion and different distance from it. Detailed geological, mineralization, petrography, mineralogy and alteration studies of Hired gold deposit and comparison with the characteristics of miscellaneous types of gold mineralization in the world shows that is the most similarity with reduced intrusion-related gold systems (RIRGS). In this type deposits, the most of the gold reserve exists in the roof of the reduced granitoid stocks and adjacent to hornfels rocks, therefore IP- RS geophysics can help to show the model of Mineralization in this area.
Merging Geophysics data with Geological map (1:1000) and other data leads to spreading of Mineralization around the intrusion body and surrounded rocks.
According to the association of pyrrhotite with gold mineralization, be proposed exploration geophysical whit Magnetometry method in the areas that show IP anomaly, drilling of boreholes on the IP anomalies and be recommend to expand exploration geophysical in South and South East area exploration.
