Abstract :

The study area of about 120 km south of Birjand, in eastern Lut block is located.
Tertiary volcanic rocks are made of lava and pyroclastics. These rocks are made of lava and pyroclastics The volcanic rocks are hornblend andesite and andesite. Based on petrographic studies plagioclase(andesine,Oligoclase), amphibole and biotite are main minerals and quartz and opaques are minors. Calcite and chlorite are secondary minerals.
The textures of these rocks are porphyric and vitrophyric. Sericitic, carbonatic and opacitization alteration are common in these samples.
