Abstract :
Lut Block is located in Eastern Iran and it has the highest exposure of igneous rocks. In Middle Jurassic during the continental collision, granitoid (the ilmenite series) formed and intruded slate and quartzite in Klateh Ahani, Shah Kuh and Sorkh Kuh area.
Basalts (different type of tectonic setting), andesite and rhyolite are reported within the Lut Block through the Tertiary time. Granitoid of Magnetite series (subduction related setting) are formed between 43 to 33 Ma (upper Eocene to Lower Oligocene). During this period, major ore deposits were formed such as porphyry Cu-Au, IOCG, Pb-Zn, Iron Skarn and several types of gold: high sulfidation, IOCG, low sulfidation, Reduced intrusive related.
