Abstract :

The study area is located at northeast of Arghash village in the Khorasan Razavi province, northwest of Cheshme zard gold mine. The rocks of area composed of polotonic to subvolcanic units with acidic_ intermediate in composition. They consist of granodiorite, monzonite, diorite and granite. This bodies highly altered. Alteration zones are: porpylitic, sericitic, silicified and Argilic. The range of Magnetic Susceptibility of rocks is between 1348×10-5SI to 3762×10-5SI. Which is related to magnetite, based on mineralography study. The intrusive rokcs are magnetite seri(I-type) granitoids. Type and intensity of alteration zones in Study area, present of magnetite type granitoides (I-type), copper Anomaly in surrounded study area and present of vein-type gold mineralization of Arghash . suggested formation of porphyry copper system in this area.
