Abstract :
Dizbad exploration region with an area of about 8 km2 is located at 84 km distance form southwest of Mashhad. Exploration operations in this area were began by planning and sampling 41 samples from stream sediments and heavy minerals. Sampling network was planned by taking into account factors such as lithology, faults and so on. For geochemical exploration, 29 samples were collected from stream sediments with 80-mesh dimension and 12 heavy mineral samples with 10 liter volume. Stream sediment samples were analyzed for 53 elements in ICP-MS method at ACME lab in Canada. After censoring the chemical analysis data and neutralizing the upstream rock effects for all these samples, uni-variant and multi-variant statistical processing such as the calculation of correlation coefficients, cluster analysis, factor analysis and so on were performed on these data and their results have been interpreted. Therefore, in Dizbad area there is not significant anomaly other than As, Au, Mn, (they don t have high levels). As anomaly: in this area there is a first grade anomaly in sample number 23 with area of about 0.2 km2 and a second grade anomaly in sample number 13 with area of about 1.75 km2. Au anomaly: in this area there is a first grade anomaly in sample number 10 with area of about 0.6 km2 and two second grade anomalies in samples number 1 and 17 with area of about 1.1 and 1.4 km2, respectively. Mn anomaly: in this area there is a second grade anomaly in sample number 15 with area of about 0.2 km2 and enrichment index of 1.41. sample number 15 is located in the south of Dizbade Bala village and the north of Kalate Derakhte Joz field.
