Abstract :
The Jajarm bauxite ore deposit with over 22 million tons of storage is the most important deposits of bauxite in Iran.In this area two bauxite horizons, calledA and B,with two stratigraphic gaps can be found. The Ahorizon is underlained by carbonate rocks of Mobarak formation and covered by Nesen formation. The B horizon that constitutes the Jajarm bauxite deposite overlaies the dolomite of Elika formation of the upper Triassic age and covered by the Shemshakformation.Mineralogy and variation in chemical composition (Al2o322.33% to52.24% and Sio2 between 6.52% to 56.45%) are other special characteristics of central area Taguee Jajarm bauxite deposite. Results of XRF chemical analysis indicates that East region Taguee bauxite is In fact, Clayey bayxite and Iron –rich bauxite.
