Abstract :
Tabas township locating in north east of Yazd province (center of Iran) is about 56000 km2 wide, and as the vastest township in Iran, geologically has various mineral resources.currently a number of 14 kinds of minerals are being extracted from 46 active mines in this township.the geological location of Tabas, its being posited on the way of north-south national roots, existence of asphalted roads, railroads, and suitable airport, and having surface and underground water resources, with its hardworking and religious people, provide the potentials for founding and developing industrial mining units in order to use the underground resources of the region with the aim of job creation, and preventing the minerals being exported from the town in their raw state.this research aims to determine and suggest the establishment of industrial-mining units according to the existing potentials of the region.
