Abstract :

In this study, the empirical relationship between Vs-N for cohesive and uncohesive soil Based on the results SPT and shear wave measurements in 21 boreholes have been derived. The proposed relationships have a power form as bellow:
uncohesive soil Vs=83.62*(SPT-N)0.4964
cohesive soil Vs=105.01 *(SPT-N)0.4485
the result of this study are as other relations proposed for Iran but are very Differ with the relations determined in other contries.
