Abstract :
The Fe-oxides Cu-Au deposits are divided into two groups. The magnetite-apatite type and the Fe-Oxides Cu-Au type. The Fe-Oxides Cu-Au deposits are discovered mainly in the last decad. The Cu ore grade is usually more than 1% and Au-garde is high. The ore reserve is from few ton to 2000 ton. They contain suite of elements such as: U, REE, Ag, Mo, Co, and As. The tectonic settings are: continental subduction zone, continental rifting, and continental hot spots. Magnetite-apatite type are mainly associated with diorite, but the Fe-Oxide Cu-Au are found in area where intermediate to acid intrusive rocks are present.
Along Khaf-Bardaskan-Kashamr volcanic-plutonic belt several Fe-Oxides Cu-Au mineralized areas are discovered. Kuh Zar gold deposit is a specularite-rich (up to 30%) type. Temperature of homogenization of fluid inclusion is 290 – 230º C and the salinity is less than 15 wt NaCl. The P and U content of Kuh Zar is less than Olympic Dam deposit. Tanurcheh, Ghaleh Jough, and Sarsefidal have the same type of mineralization. Sangan Magnetite deposit and several other Fe-deposits are situated on the eastern part of the belt. Temperature of homogenization of fluid inclusion is 450 – 220º C and the salinity is more than 30 wt NaCl. The P and U, ans REE content of Sangang magnetite deopsit is very low. This belt has great potential exploring for Fe-Oxides Cu-Au and magnetite deposits.
