Tectono-Magmatism of the Kalateh No copper porphyry prospect, episodic modeling for arc magmatism in Gonabad fault horsetail

Abstract :

Along analyzing the satellite images and field data processing, base on recognition geological relations between structures that controlled volcano-plutonism, alteration and mineralization, Tectono-Magmatic modeling is emerged for new defined Kalateh No copper porphyry prospected arc geology zone. This model creates a new comprehensive response for regional arc geology and so strong exploration potential in the area. With spotting sequences of activation that defined for the five ordered horsetail in west terminus of the Gonabad fault, all of the arc geological phenomenon could be explain easily. Indicator episodic pattern for the continental arc evolution is contoured with predicating obvious evidences of; extensional volcanism, caldera collapse sedimentation, linear alteration, unidirectional structural kaolin mines, dikes emplacement systems and meaningful order of vein type LS mineralization. In recent tectonic studies in the northern Lut block, Gonabad fault introduced as a leftist strike-slip structure, but two period of extreme dextral movement in branches of thats horsetail, could see obviously. Like all of global tectonic models for magmatic arcs, respect to relative ages of change in the direction of dynamic convergence in the tails, sequences of tectonically episodes is differentiated as below: First episode; leftist transcurrent faulting in northern Lut response to clockwise rotation, creation of Gonabad fault and its horstail in west terminal. Second episode Relaxation, intra arc rifting, intense pyroclastic extensional volcanism, sedimentation in caldera collapse basin.
Third episode, part 1- change in convergence to the dextral, negative flower structure abroad between T3 and T4 of the horsetail, subvolcanic monzonitic plutonism at root, progressing PCD alteration and mineralization. Third  episode,  part 2-  intensification  of dextral  convergence after quenching porphyry phase, late injection of sigmoidal dioritic fresh dikes. Last episode; change in convergence again to leftist, uplifting and erosion to this days.
Along attractive offered evidences, structural evolutionary defined model have typical harmony with credible geological literature about subduction related arcs. Base on this model Kalateh No geology zone could introduce as complete set of tectono-magmatism and related arc features for porphyry mineralization. And so studied region could be assume as one index copper porphyry prospected arc geology zone not only indicator in igneous landforms of Iran, but in all of continental arcs around the world. Defined episodic model is too definite that along confirmation copper porphyry potential create a new concept for ambiguous mechanism of subduction in east and north of Lut block generating eastern Iran magmatic assemblage.
