Publishing Year : 1387

Abstract :

Tajghani index chromite in Gazik area is engulfed within serpentinites in Sistan suture zone in east of Iran. A thin crust of a secondary mineral is shown on faulted surfaces of Tajghani chromitite, Which isnt reported in other chromitite index in this area.
This mineral has emerald green color and high hardness (seven). Base on the XRD analysis it is Ca-Garnet, the chemical formula for this mineral base on XRF analysis show it is Ca-Garnet (Uvarovite). Textural evidence show that it is a secondary mineral that is produced by hydrothermal fluids.
