Abstract :

Ab Talkh Formation is one of the upper cretaceous formations in Kopet Dagh Basin. The selected section in this study located in Hamam Galeh village in Mashhad – Kalat road. Because of its litology, shale and marl, it’s not possible to provide thin section and therefore doing microfacies analyses, too. But Palynofacies analyses can determine its facies and interpret palaeoenvironment and relatively sea level changes. Therefore in this study that it is the first study on AbTalkh Formation Palynofacies analysis, 270 palynology slides was provided and Palynofacies and sequencestratigraphy parameters was delineated and so seven cycles and Palynofacies I, II, III, IV, VI by total kerogen plots (Tyson) was distinguished.
