Abstract :

The study area is one of� the 25 areas in 5 sheet(Mokhtaran, Chaharfarsakh, Sahlabad, Birjand, and Basiran )that introduced in the geochemical exploration project in the south of Khorasan province. It is situated in� longitude of� 59º 10َ and 59º 15َ, and latitude of 31º 55َ and 32º 00 that it is far away 4 kilometers from the east of Basiran village. The area is selected according to the resulting combination and field observations.
Volcanism, plotonism and sedimentary units have observed in the region.Sampling network which is covered a land of approximately 80 Km2, is designed according to the density of 7 geochemical samples and one heavy mineral sample per each Km2. 292 geochemical samples, 85 heavy mineral samples and 13 mineralized samples have taken from the area. The samples have analyzed for the following elements; Ba, Au, As, Ag, Zn, W, V, Ti, Sr, Sn, Sc, Sb, Pb, Ni, Mo, Mn, Hg, Fe, Cu, Cr, Co, Cd, and Bi. The accuracy of analyses has computed, then data processed. Anomaly areas were computed by several methods and finally were sorted by priority.
