Abstract :
The Jajarm bauxite deposit is Loceated in Northeast of Iran NW of Khorasan province, two bauxite horizons occur in this area : the "A" horizon (Middle permian ) and the "B" horizon (Upper Triassic ) this study is focuses on B horizon bauxite. Although the aluochthonous and mainly character of the bauxite horizon is established the parent rock is still largely enigmatic. In this study geochemical charavters of bauxite, trace element such as Zr, Cr, Ca, and trace element accumulation coefficient (R) were applied to determinaion of parent rock. In Cr, Zr, Ga diagram and application of R factor and Cr content in a binary logarithmic diagram of Birjand bauxite. Demonstrate that the parent rock is a mafic rock. In this study REE geochemistry is studied too.
