Abstract :
Kashrnar Plain is one of the most important fertile plain in Khorasan-e-Razavi province. In the recent decades, fast agricultural expansion coupled with rapid population growth has tremendously increased pressure on the groundwater resources of the plain. As a result of intensive dropping in groundwater levels, land subsidence and longitude earth figurers appears in the western part of the plain. For example, in Azim-Abad, Zaher-Abad, Zaher-Abad, Firooz-Abad, Kalatah-e-Shadi and Kondor Villages. This paper deals with declining of groundwater level and land subsidence in this part of the plain.
