Abstract :
South of Birjand ophiolite mélange evolutioned due the collision between lut and afghan blocks during upper certaceous to Oligocene. Thrust sheets whit trend N80 to N115 and dip to north cause vergenced rock unite to the south. Between length and displacement on thrust fault has this equation : Log (L)=0.074log (D)+ 1.18� and deformation process folded the sediment layers in flextural _ slip mechanism and maximum shortning was 47% Between wave length and amplitude in folds has this equation:�
�Ln(w)=0.23 (A) + 0.42. lnvestigation of geometric and kinematic chracetristic of thrust sheets in south of birjand ophiolite mélange can show the evolution stages of this belt.
