Abstract :

Concentration of toxic elements such as As, S,B,Li, in Sorkhkouh area, 30 Km to the east of Kashmar, is higher than EPA and WHO limits. This high concentration makes some of the water resources, in terms of metal index, unsuitable for drinking and some are not suitable because of elements like As, S, B., Li,.. Population structure and high number of residential places which use these water sources, has made the parageneses? studies necessary to determine genes, type and concentration mechanism of these element. All these indicate the necessarity of more detailed environmental studies.

In this study, the result of 15 water samples and the factor analysis, metal index and other relations have been evaluated. The results show that magmatic factors are important in the concentration and creation of elemental anomaly which has led to the contamination of the region’s water resources
