mineralography of listwaenit in east of Khoosf_SW of Birjand

Abstract :
The area studied is located in SW Birjand (S Khorasn) contained crataceous coloured melange, crataceous and palegoene flysh sediment, negoen Conglomerate and tertiary volcanic rocks. The most important geological characteaistics of area is expreeding of Listvenitization process in all of mentioned units. In high PH condition (PH= 10 _ 12) and low XCO2 (lower than 5 mole percent) pridotites altered to serpentinite. In after stages with decreasing PH and increasing XCO2 notonly serpentinization is stopped but also existing serpentinite is unstabled and changed to carbonate _ sillisic mineral assemblage (Listvenited). In this conditions hydrotermal solutions effected on other rocks existed in this area and changed them to Listvenited to different degrees. Generally speaking in this reactions primary sillicate minerals of the rocks would be replaces with a carbonate _ sillisic assemblage. Microscopic studies and XRD analysis represents Magnesite, Breunnerite, Dolomite, Calcite, Smithzonitc, Quartz, Clinoclore, Talc, Muscovite, Chromite, Pyrite, Magnetite, Also SEM analysis represents Fe, Ni, Fe, Ni, Co solfurs that could be considered as pathfinder minerals to? guide for exploration of Au, Ag, Hg.
