Abstract :
In this study earthquake hazard risk assessment and crisis management for mega city of Mashhad has been discussed. For this, Mashhad map urban specifications, including information layers of structure quality, road and street positions, residential area, educational, hotels and tourist centers, religious and public locations, state offices, trade and industrial centers, health care and hospitals, special structures and sport centers are prepared in GIS environment using Arcview software. Then the iso acceleration maps based on the most critical state of earthquake scenarios for two faults near city (Tous fault and South Mashhad- South Chenaran fault) are produced. Finally, the Seismic risk map of mashhad for two State of day and night are determined. The results shown that 10% of mashhad surface in day and 30% in night have a high risk and 30% in day and 38% in night located in medium risk and 60% in day and 32% in night show the low risk.
