Abstract :
The studied metabasites are mostly outcropped in metamorphic zone of an ophiolitic complex which is located at 130 km of east Birjand. These rocks are of Greenschist, Epidote amphibolite, Amphibolite, Blueschist and Eclogite facieses. The major and trace elements chemical analyses show that protolith of these rocks have been enriched MORB basalts. The petrography and thermobarometry results of these rocks are also showing that metamorphic events which have been affected on protoliths, have taken place in subduction and collision zone during the subduction and thrusting stages. The age dating of 40Ar/39Ar show metamorphic age of early Cretaceous for a sample.
