Abstract :
Modeling, ore reserve estimaton and determination of ultimate pit limit are very important in designing process of a mine. Description and evaluation (quantitavely and qualitatively( of ore body for mining engineer is a vital task.
In this paper, results of modeling and reserve estimation of Golbini No. 7 block of Jajarm bauxite mine which is performed using geostatistics method, is presented. For this purpose, soft ware DATAMINE is utilized. In the first step, using information such as exploration data, geological sections, etc. a hollow body is created which is filled afterwards by smaller blocks considering dip and dip direction of the layer. In the next step, statistical and geostatistical analysis on the exploration data is fulfilled to extimation grade for block model using ordinary kriging and inverse distance method. After cross validation of the results, amount of the resource is determined. On the basis of results of kriging method, total amount of ore resource of Golbini No. 7 block is 3.777 Mt with average grade for Al2O3 and SiO2, 44.33 and 13.64, respectively.
