Abstract :

Biostratigraphy studies based on plank tonic foraminifera, has been done for Abtalkh formation bio stratigraphy classification and correlation in qareh sou region(southwest of Kalate Naderi). Abtalkh formation thickness is about 1410 m that it`s lithology contain of grey marl and bluish to greenish grey marl and limy marl . 5 biozone had recognized based on plank tonic foraminifera that display camponian – early maastrichtian age of this formation. Globotruncanita elevate zone Globotruncana Ventericosa zone Globotuncana falsostuarti – Globotruncana ventricosa assemblage zone Globotruncanella havanensis zone Globotruncana eagyptica zone.
