Abstract :

Khusf area in South Khorasan Province is geologically significant considering its location between two metallogenic zones of Nehbandan and Nayband faults, and also, the presence of metallic indices in the area. The aim of this research work is to determine mineral potential zones using the geochemical data from the area, and also, the integration of the data with the other available exploration data from the area. For this, after removing syngenetic component from the geochemical data using Fuzzy Cluster Means (FCM), and by applying zonality method, processing, analysis and interpretation of the geochemical data have been made in GIS environment. Finally, comparison and integration of the data with structural geological data and other geological data have been done. The results of this study indicate that there are necessary conditions for the occurrence of metallic deposits in the area.
