Introducing Schloenbachiidae (Ammonitina) found in the eastern region of koph-Dagh

Abstract :

Schloenbachiidae Parona & Bonarelli 1897 family is one of the Cenomanian indexed ammonoites. This group of ammonoites with Schloenbachia varians (J. Sowerby, 1817) are the most controversial of ammonoites, that are abandent in Cenomanian sediments. We report that two spices: Schloenbachia varians and Schloenbachia coupei (Brongniart, 1822) with the same morphology have five different subspices. These ammonoites have been found in the upper part of Aitamir formation.
