Abstract :
Lithofacies and structural elements of Early Eocene siliciclastics were investigated in NW of Neyshaboor tointroduce depositional environments of the deposits. Two stratigraphic sections of Taghan with 76.33m and Damanjan with 72.57m thickness have been selected, measured and studied. Lithology and structural elements analysis led to recogni on of 8 lithofacies and 6 structural elements. Lithofacies were divided into threegroups including coarse-grained (Gcm,Gmm), Medium-grained (Sp,Sh,Sr,St) and fine-grained (Fl,Fm). Also architectural elements are consisting of SG, GB, SB, LA, FF, CS. Depositional environments of studied deposits were determined as alluvial fan, gravelly braided river and sand-bed meandering river.
