Abstract :

Intermittent of ultrmafic - mafic rocks with detrital and carbonate layers of shallow water environment can be see at the east of Torbat -e- Jam – Mashhad lineament, west of Mashhad, east of Fariman and north of Torbat -e-Jam. Investigation of these rocks in Mashhad and Fariman areas demonstrate their volcanic to subvolcanic nature with komatiiti, piritic and tholeiitic affinities. Variaus ratios of incompatible immobile trace elements, different patterns of spider and rare earth elements diagrams favor cited claim. Very high temperature of parent magmas which are computed on the basis of Fo content olivine crystals indicate that these rocks must be formed in a high temperature environmen , probably affected by high temperature of a mantle plume.
