Abstract :
Mashhad ultramafic pillow lava units at the Now Dareh area are interbeded with sedimentary layers and other massive ultramafic, mafic rocks of early to middle Permian sequence. On the basis of textural criterias, cited rocks have the nearest composition to the parent magama from which other massive ultramafic units with cumulative textures have formed. Geochemical evidences demonstrate it's uncontaminated nature, so this rocks might reflect related mantle source. Major and trace elements geochemistry of this lavas are completely similar to Archean komatiites and it is classified as Al- depleted Ti- enriched komatiite by widespread high MgO volcanic rocks classification diagrams. Related magma must be originated from mantle plum sources, on the basis of Zr/Y versus Nb/Y diagram.
