Abstract :
The Sangan Iron ore deposit is located in south eastern Mashhad. This ore deposit was forme4 in a carbonate rock unit by intrusion of a granitic magma and it is divided into two skarn zones of calcic skarn and magnesian skarn. The iron ore deposit is Jbrmed associated with garnets in a wide area in the calcic skarn zone. The garnets chemically are belonging to Grossular_andradite solid solution series. Garnet is a common mineral associated with majority of calcic skarn deposits. REE concentrations in gurnetsfromn the Sangcin iron ore deposit that were analyzed be LA_ICP_MS in itkita university in Japan, discusser in this paper.
